Astaxanthin (pronounced ASTA-XAN-THIN) is has proven to be one of the most powerful antioxidants discovered so far.

Unlike most water-soluble antioxidants, which simply circulate throughout your bloodstream, astaxanthin is fat-soluble, which means it has the remarkable ability to enter into every cell, tissue and organ in your body where it can fight free radicals and neutralise them.

Astaxanthin is designed perfectly to protect all parts of the cell. When it acts as an antioxidant, it positions itself across the entire cell membrane, attaching itself to both the exterior, interior and lipid (fat) layer, offering entire protection for each cell. This translates to protection on the outside of the cell from free radicals, the inside of the cell where the free radicals are being generated, and also the lipid.

Astaxanthin takes the gold medal compared to other Antioxidants, as it Kung Foos multiple types of free radicals at a time compared to other antioxidants like Vitamin C or Vitamin E that just control just one.
